While reviewing and meditating on scripture one morning, I came across this translation issue in a popular script James 1:19.  The Hebrew culture knew and understood that we did not argue, we listen with wisdom, and we do not rush to speak without the wisdom of YHWH.  We take everything to YHWH in prayer and supplication.  So, the translation of the word “slow” is improperly applied to the people of YHWH.  Since I can think back on many conversations and still today people believe we are the silly people laden with sin.  While yes sin turns any person silly, we are coming out of this and out of the description.  Watch and I pray you to have the eyes to see and the ears to hear.
